Starting this tour with Bougatsa Tasting. Bougatsa is the typical pie, made with phyllo, Cretan cheese and honey. Enjoy a slice of Bougatsa and observe how phyllo is made. Later on, an olive oil tasting course will take place at the most beautiful stone-built yard of the city. The certified olive oil Sommelier will explain the essence of extra virgin olive oil (E.V.O.O). The art of olive oil tasting will be showcased via tasting 4 of the best olive oils produced by different olive varieties, Crete has to offer. Enjoy local snacks while tasting. Next, visit a local pizzeria that makes Pizza with local ingredients. Α Pizza Maker will show you, step by step, how to make your own pizza, add your favorite ingredients, bake it in the oven and enjoy eating it. Our walk will end at the central market, where you can buy local souvenirs for home. For travelers coming on a cruise ship, in case the specific cruise ship of the travelers is unable to dock due to weather conditions or whatever reason, there is a free cancellation of the tour, no charges will apply and a full refund shall be provided immediately to the credit card or Paypal account attached with the booking. Cancellation charges will not apply in case the tour/activity/service is canceled by the operator. The operator reserves the right to cancel a tour/service due to unforeseen weather conditions or unexpected restrictions from the authorities/circumstances beyond control where a full refund will be provided to the credit card or Paypal attached to the booking.
